Pedestrian Injured in Lamont Hit-and-Run at Highway 184 and Panama Road
LAMONT, CA (May 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 184 and Panama Road in Lamont.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Thursday night. Officers reported the incident at about 9:42 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian in Lamont for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Highway 184, known as Main Street, and Panama Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the victim left suffering from minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the the patient to a hospital for treatment of road rash to their head and arm. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. Officers forced Highway 184 at Panama to close following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the Lamont hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
