LANCASTER, California (October 7, 2016) — Seven people including five children were injured Friday morning when a car and a school bus collided near the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue H, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 8 a.m. this morning between the car and a bus with 25 people aboard. Two people who were in the vehicle were airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries and five children who were on the bus had minor injuries. The children were also taken to a hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash and liability is under investigation.
Los Angeles County Accidents
There were 585 people killed and 50,917 injured in 2013 traffic accidents in Los Angeles County, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide integrated Traffic Report. In the city of Lancaster, there were 14 deaths and 648 injured that year, the CHP statistics report said.
