Construction Worker Hit by Suspected Hit-and-run Driver on West Avenue C-6
LANCASTER, Calif. (June 22, 2020) — A flagman working in a construction area was struck by a hit-and-run motorist Monday morning on State Route 138 also known as West Avenue C-6 in Lancaster.
The collision was reported at 9:54 a.m. when an impatient driver in a silver Honda Civic hit the man who was directing traffic around a construction area, just west of West 280th Street.
The California Highway Patrol reported the victim rolled across the hood of the vehicle after he was hit.
Paramedics responded to treat the injured pedestrian for undisclosed non-serious injuries.
Police are searching for the suspect who fled the scene.
