Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman on State Route 14 Friday
Lancaster, CA (September 7, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on State Route 14 Friday evening, the Antelope Valley Times News reported.
Our sources indicated a woman was seen walking west westbound across the highway on September 3. Officials said an oncoming 2006 Toyota Tundra failed to avoid and hit the pedestrian. The catastrophic incident took place in the southbound side of the highway just north of Avenue D.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Lancaster, September 3
Shortly after 9:18 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the female pedestrian but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said the driver of the Toyota, 30-year-old Adrian Lugo Gutierrez, stayed at the scene. The Lancaster man cooperated with the investigation process as obliged by law.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate at this time several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Lancaster.
