1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured
LANCASTER, California (April 15, 2016) — A man died and a woman was seriously injured in a solo-car accident on the 14 Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol report said.
The fatal crash took place about 12:15 a.m. this morning on the southbound side of the freeway at Avenue K, CHP officers said. The driver lost control of the vehicle which then rolled over, and slammed into the center divider. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the SUV.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but the 23-year-old man driving the car died of his injuries. The 29-year-old woman was treated for major injuries and hospitalized.
In an article by The Antelope Valley Times, coroner’s office identified the deceased as Abel Salazar, of Palmdale.
