LANCASTER, California (March 21, 2017) – A fatal traffic collision resulted in the death of 20-year-old woman of Littlerock and caused injuries to four others Tuesday evening at 150th Street and Avenue J, per the AV Times.
California Highway Patrol officials responded to the crash which took place at 5:45 p.m. between a 2006 Audi and a 2015 Kia Optima.
Police officials have preliminary confirmed that Roxana Castellanos, 21, of Lancaster, was the driver of the Audi who blew threw a stop sign and was struck by the Kia driven by David Villareal.
Castellanos’s passenger, the 20-year-old Littlerock woman, tragically did not survive the impact of the collision and was pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, David Villareal was moderately injured and taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Castellanos and her two other passengers identified as Averie Bryant, 19, and a 2-year-old, were all serious hurt and rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital as well. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
More information will be released pending the investigation.
