1 Killed, 1 Badly Injured in Lancaster Crash at Avenue F and 30th Street West
LANCASTER, CA (September 23, 2022) – A car crash killed one person and badly injured another at Avenue F and 30th Street West in Lancaster.
According to The Antelope Valley Times and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 8:25 a.m.
The incident happened on September 22 when a Toyota Tacoma was going west on Avenue F, approaching 30th Street West, in Lancaster.
At the same time, a Chevy Silverado was traveling north on 30th Street West. For an unknown reason. the Chevy ran a posted stop sign at the intersection.
Driver Runs Stop Sign, Hits Another Car
The Sheriff’s Station said the Silverado then slammed into the Toyota. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the man driving the Tacoma dead at the scene.
The female driver of the Chevy sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed her to a hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Avenue F and 30th Street West to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Lancaster crash is still under investigation.
