Motorcyclist Killed in Lancaster Crash at Avenue J-8 and Division Street
LANCASTER, CA (May 1, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash at Avenue J-8 and Division Street in Lancaster.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:15 p.m.
The incident began when a Nissan Sentra was going south on Division Street, approaching Avenue J-8, in Lancaster. At the same time, a man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle north.
The sheriff’s station said the car then made a left turn at the intersection and went into the path of the motorcyclist. In the process, the two collided.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The rider ended up ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Avenue J-8 and Division street to shut down for a time following the incident.
Deputies did not mention if the female driver of the Sentra ended up hurt or if she stopped after the wreck. The cause of the fatal Lancaster crash is still under investigation.
