Pedestrian Killed in Lancaster Accident Near Avenue K and Stanridge Avenue
LANCASTER, CA (April 6, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident near Avenue K and Stanridge Avenue in Lancaster.
According to an article published by The Antelope Valley Times, the tragic collision occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:11 p.m.
The incident happened on April 5 when a male pedestrian was southbound across Avenue K near the intersection with Stanridge Avenue in Lancaster.
At the same time, a Volkswagen Jetta was going east on Avenue K. The Lancaster Sheriff’s Station said for an unknown reason, the car then struck the man in his 60s.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the victim suffering from critical injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel rushed him to the Antelope Valley Hospital, where he died. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies did not mention if the driver of the Volkswagen immediately stopped after hitting the pedestrian. Officials forced Avenue K and Stanridge Avenue to close for a time following the crash.
