Pedestrian Killed in Lancaster Crash on 14 Freeway and Avenue J
LANCASTER, CA (September 13, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on the 14 Freeway and Avenue J in Lancaster.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Tuesday. Officers reported the collision at about 4:48 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a big rig struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Lancaster. The semi-truck hit the person on the northbound 14 Freeway near South Avenue J.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the individual dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the big rig stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. The cause of the fatal Lancaster pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the No. 3 lane of the northbound 14 Freeway to shut down near Avenue J after the collision.
