Man Killed in Lancaster Hit-and-Run Crash at Date Avenue and Avenue J
LANCASTER, CA (July 18, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian at Date Avenue and Avenue J in Lancaster.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision on July 17 at about 9:35 p.m.
The Lancaster Sheriff’s Station said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him at the intersection of Date Avenue and Avenue J.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man left lying on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They soon located the suspect vehicle but not the driver.
Officers forced the intersection of Date Avenue and Avenue J to shut down following the incident. The fatal Lancaster hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
