Semi-Trucks Crash Head-on Highway 138 at 185th Street
LANCASTER, Calif. (Feb. 10, 2021) — Two big rig trucks were in a head-on crash Wednesday on State Route Highway 138 in Lancaster.
A Walmart semi-truck and another big rig truck were involved, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened about 11:14 a.m. on Feb. 10th near 185th Street, police said. One of the trucks had a driver and passenger who both survived the collision with undisclosed injuries.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the crash scene where they located one person trapped in a truck suffering from a compound fracture due to the crash.
A SigAlert was issued due to the two-vehicle collision. The Walmart truck was towed as was the other truck that was reportedly “torn apart.”
The CHP is heading up the investigation into the cause of the collision.
