Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Antelope Valley Crash
LANCASTER, Calif. (April 25, 2022) – A Lancaster motorcycle accident involving a pickup truck happened Sunday at 116th Street East and East Avenue T, near the Jackrabbit Flats Wildlife Sanctuary.
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the collision about 4:36 p.m. on April 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The bike reportedly crashed into a white GMC pickup truck pulling a trailer in the Northeast Antelope Valley.
The driver in the GMC pickup told the CHP officers the motorcyclist was driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed.
The motorcyclist had significant head trauma and was unconscious, but breathing. Paramedics responded and loaded the injured rider into a helicopter to be taken to a hospital. It’s unknown at this time if the pickup truck driver suffered any injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities closed down the intersection and issued a SigAlert due to the Lancaster motorcycle accident.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
