2 Injured in Crash at Avenue K and Challenger Way Friday
LANCASTER, Ca (May 26, 2020) – Two people, including an officer, suffered injuries following a traffic collision in the area of Avenue K and Challenger Way Friday.
According to the Antelope Valley Times, a deputy was traveling east on Avenue K around 5:08 p.m. The marked Los Angeles County patrol vehicle reportedly initiated a northbound turn onto Challenger Way. Officials said a female juvenile driving west on Avenue K drove into the intersection at the same time, leading to the crash.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and treated the deputy for his injuries, while the female driver declined medical attention.
Investigators handling the case continue to determine liabilities in the accident.
