LANCASTER, California — According to an article by the AV Times, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Avenue I February 9.
The news report mentioned the accident took place near Fern Avenue at about 7:43 p.m. on Thursday.
Initial investigation claimed a pedestrian was kneeling in the street looking at a deceased cat when a passing Ford driver did not notice the pedestrian and struck him.
The Ford motorist stopped following the collision to render aid, as per officials.
Responding medics transported the injured to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Driving under the influence did not appear to be a factor in the incident, as per sheriff’s news release. Further investigation on the deadly crash is underway to determine charges and liabilities.
