SAN FRANCISCO, California (December 6, 2016) – A man was killed and a woman was hospitalized after a hit-and-run collision in the area of Valdez Avenue and Monterey Boulevard Saturday, according to San Francisco Gate.
The accident took place around 5:30 p.m.
As per the article, police said 65-year-old Lanqing Dong was crossing Valdez Avenue at Monterey Boulevard with a 64-year-old woman when they were struck by an unknown car.
Dong, a resident of China, was killed following the crash. His companion at the time was transported to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The name of the female victim has not been disclosed.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
