LARGO, California (March 28, 2016) — Two ATV riders were injured Monday morning in a collision on McNab Ranch Road, just west of the US 101 Redwood Highway, just north of Largo, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 9:45 a.m., just west of the South Cow Mountain Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area. It prompted a response by police and paramedics. One person suffered major injuries and was to be airlifted by helicopter to a local hospital for treatment. The second ATV rider suffered minor injuries and was taken by ground ambulance to University Medical Center.
The crash is under investigation by police to determine liability.
