BALDWIN VILLAGE, Calif. (August 7, 2018) — Two people died Monday during a car to car shooting and subsequent traffic collision that killed a pedestrian and seriously injured a bicyclist in the 4800 block of West Rodeo Place.
UPDATE: The victims have been identified as Harrison Kristol, 20, of Los Angeles, who was the shooting victim whose car then ran over Laroyice McFarland, 22, who was riding his skateboard.
The incident took place about 8:30 p.m. near Crenshaw Boulevard. A witness told authorities he saw two vehicles approaching one another at roughly 15 to 20 mph prior to the shooting and collision. The driver of one of the vehicles shot directly into the other vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was shot and killed. After he was shot, his vehicle struck the skateboarder. The bicyclist was struck by the suspect who shot the driver as he attempted to flee the scene. The car collided with another vehicle and the cyclist was pinned underneath one of the vehicles.
The bicyclist was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
