Larry Mitchell Pedestrian Killed in Fresno Hit-and-run Crash

Man, 58, Struck, Killed in Manchester Mall Parking Lot

FRESNO, Calif. (May 21, 2024) — Larry Charles Mitchell, 58, of Fresno, has been identified as the man who died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in a parking lot at Blackstone and Dakota avenues near a Planet Fitness gym.

The deadly collision occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on May 17th, at the north end of Manchester Mall, according to the Fresno County Sheriff Coroner.

Fresno police received several 911 calls reporting the collision. Paramedics and police responded to the scene and the victim was rushed to a hospital where he later died.

Meanwhile, investigators were told by witnesses the man was run over by a woman driving a red vehicle and they are now searching for the suspect.

Finally, the case remains under investigation.
