2 Killed After Car Crash on Highway 58
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2018) – Lashan Dinkins, 34, of Lancaster, and KC Browner, 26, of Palmdale, died in a car accident early Sunday morning on Highway 58, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The two were sitting in a parked 2001 Hyundai sedan on the right shoulder of westbound State Route 58 about 2:10 a.m. Meanwhile, a driver in a 2006 Dodge 3500 pickup truck was traveling westbound on Highway 58 and reportedly lost control of his vehicle and collided with the parked vehicle.
Both Dinkins and Browner were pronounced dead at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
The driver of the Dodge was described as a 31-year-old male from Conroe, Texas. He reportedly suffered minor injuries in the wreck and was taken by ambulance to Barstow Community Hospital for treatment, police said.
