Pedestrian Struck on Virginia Way Identified
BARSTOW, Calif. (July 12, 2023) — Lashawn R. Ray, 55, of Barstow, died last month in a pedestrian accident on Virginia Way in Barstow.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner identified the man on its website.
The deadly crash occurred around 8:41 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, according to the Barstow Police Department.
Police and paramedics responded to 500 East Virginia Way after a report about a traffic collision. They located the pedestrian with major injuries in the roadway. Lashawn Ray was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment, but died a few days later at 10:34 a.m. on June 5th, according to the coroner.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Barstow pedestrian accident.
