LASSEN COUNTY: Fatal Crash County Highway A26, US 395 Near Herlong

LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 28, 2025) — A fatal head-on crash happened Friday morning on County Highway A26 in Lassen County, just south of the Sierra Army Depot in Herlong.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at 4:23 a.m. on Feb. 28th, just east of Highway 395, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a white BMW and another vehicle were blocking the roadway and at least one person died in the collision.

Meanwhile, the report did not mention if there were any survivors requiring medical attention for injuries from the accident.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on County Road A26 in Lassen County.
