1 Seriously Injured in Lathrop Crash on Interstate 5 Near Manthey Road
LATHROP, CA (October 7, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 5 near Manthey Road in Lathrop.
Four vehicles, including a big rig, collided for an unknown reason in Lathrop. They crashed on the southbound Interstate 5, just north of Manthey Road.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:13 p.m.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They then found one person who ended up suffering from minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel possibly took the patient to a hospital for further aid. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 to shut down near Manthey following the wreck. The cause of the Lathrop crash is still under investigation.
