Major Injury Traffic Collision on Interstate 5 Freeway Wednesday
Lathrop, CA (September 8, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a road accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a passenger vehicle collided with a big rig in the northbound side of the freeway near Mossdale Road offramp. At this time, the exact make and model of the car involved in the crash remained undisclosed.
The CHP logged the incident around 2:47 p.m.
According to the dispatch, the passenger vehicle sustained major front-end damage; and ended up disabled in the middle lane of the freeway. Meanwhile, the truck came to a rest off the roadway at a vacant lot near Mossdale Road offramp.

Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered major injuries as a result of the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the car and truck accident in Lathrop.
