Multi-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway Near Lathrop Road
LATHROP (July 26, 2018) – On July 25, Wednesday, several vehicles collided on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Lathrop Road.
According to a local news source, an intoxicated driver caused the wreck. The DUI suspect was identified as Tom Patti, a San Joaquin County supervisor.
Primary reports indicated a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Patti crashed into the rear of a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. The impact forced the Oldsmobile to hit the back of a 2011 Toyota Prius.
It was not immediately clear if there were injuries in the accident.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned Patti was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following the crash. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
