Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash on Highway 99
LATHROP, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2024) — A major injury motorcycle accident happened Tuesday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Roth Road in Lathrop.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:53 a.m. on Feb. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported the rider was hit by a dark blue or black SUV in the No. 1 lane of the highway in front of the UPS distribution facility. The rider, who was wearing all back, was near the center divide of the highway.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, the report indicated this may have been a hit-and-run collision, but that is not confirmed at this time.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Lathrop motorcycle accident on Highway 99.
