The incident took place about 4:40 p.m.
As per the article, Kern County coroner’s office said two women were riding a motorcycle when they collided with another vehicle.
The two female riders were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as Laura Danielle Barbee and Aimee Joi Johnson, both 31.
The Bakersfield Californian indicated the victims were from Ridgecrest.
Meanwhile, the coroner’s office affirmed that Barbee was operating the motorcycle while Johnson was a passenger when the crash occurred.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
