Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 273 Near Girvan Road Tuesday
Redding, CA (September 14, 2021) – Police arrested 37-year-old Laura Eiffert in relation with a DUI car crash on Highway 273 Tuesday evening.
The KRCRTV News reported Laura Eiffert, of Redding, was behind the wheel of a 2015 silver Kia Sorrento. Preliminary investigation revealed the woman left Win-River Resort & Casino at about 8 p.m.
Per article published online, the Kia struck several parked vehicles while leaving the Casino. Laura Eiffert managed to exit from Win-River and drove in the wrong direction on Highway 273.
Officials said the northbound Kia eventually collided into a 2017 grey Ford F-250 traveling south on the freeway.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately checked the condition of the occupants in the Ford. No immediate information was available no the victims in the accident.

Meanwhile, investigators determined Laura Eiffert was intoxicated at the time of the collisions. Police then arrested the woman for DUI and multiple hit-and-run collisions.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
