Woman Killed in Head-on Crash in Ramona is Identified
RAMONA, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2024) — Laura Sue Glazewski, 60, of Ramona, died late last month following a head-on crash on Main Street in Ramona.
The deadly crash occurred around 7:31 p.m. on Oct. 28th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The Ramona woman was driving a Toyota sedan southbound on Main Street when her vehicle was hit head-on by a Chevrolet pickup truck.
The pickup truck was northbound on Main Street when its driver rear-ended a Dodge SUV and then swerved into oncoming traffic where it struck her vehicle, the report said.
Paramedics extricated the woman from the Toyota and transported her by ambulance to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. However, despite efforts to save her life, she died at the hospital around 9:10 p.m. the same day. She was later identified as Laura Glazewski by the coroner.
Investigators are working on the case, but it’s unknown if any charges were filed against the at-fault motorist at this time.
