1 Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision Near Old Downieville Highway
Nevada City, CA (July 20, 2022) – Lavonne Mullin, a 67-year-old woman, suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash that occurred on Highway 49.
The KNCO News reported Mullin, of Nevada City, was driving a vehicle traveling on SR-49 Tuesday morning. When the female motorist approached the area near Old Downieville Highway, a vehicle from the opposite side veered into her path. Officials said the wrong-way car side-swiped the Mullin.
According to the article published Lavonne Mullin suffered minor to moderate injuries as a result of the wreck. Paramedics possibly transported the victim to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, investigators determined the other driver, 40-year-old Cole Paulson, was intoxicated at the time of the collision. It remained unclear at this time if police immediately arrested the DUI suspect.
Further investigation is ongoing on the car accident that happened on Highway 49 in Nevada City.
