Lawrence Harris, 37, Killed in Anaheim Hit-and-Run Crash at Knott and Orange
ANAHEIM, CA (September 1, 2021) – Lawrence Harris was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Knott and Orange avenues in Anaheim.
Police identified the 37-year-old Buena Park man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Sunday night.
The incident happened on August 29 when Lawrence Harris was driving in the city of Anaheim. For an unknown reason, another vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Knott and Orange avenues.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
Police said the two cars then collided. The Orange County Register wrote that Lawrence Harris died as a result of the Anaheim crash.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the male driver who ran a red light abandoned his car and fled on foot. Police located the man sleeping in another vehicle near the accident scene.
Authorities soon arrested him for gross vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run with permanent and serious injury. The Anaheim hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
