LEBEC, California (Monday, October 19, 2015) – A two-vehicle traffic collision took place on northbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Lebec Road, resulting in multiple injuries. The vehicles involved included a white pickup truck and dark-blue sedan. The collision scattered debris across the freeway. At least three parties were injured in the fire that engulfed the wreckage. They were quickly taken to an area hospital. They were listed as being in critical condition.
According to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, Bakersfield, the accident occurred this evening at about 9:13 p.m. No further information is available at this time. Police are investigating to determine liability for the incident.
