LIVERMORE, California (August 22, 2016) – A 72-year-old woman killed in a head-on crash on First Street Monday morning has been identified as Lee Ann Tagliapietra, according to East Bay Times.
The collision took place about 6 a.m., just south of Las Positas Road.
As per the article, police said Tagliapietra was driving a Honda south on First Street when at the same time a Chevrolet Camaro was going north.
For an unknown reason, the Chevrolet then crossed over the raised center median and hit the Honda. Tagliapietra, of Dublin, was rushed to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Camaro was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, a third vehicle headed south on First Street at the time was believed to also have been involved as some damaged parts were left at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
