Leilani Magno, 17, Killed in Chula Vista Hit-and-Run on Lane Avenue
CHULA VISTA (July 9, 2018) – A teen jogger was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident along Lane Avenue near Scobee Park on Sunday night, according to NBC San Diego.
The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Leilani Magno.
As per the article, Chula Vista police said Magno was jogging south on Lane Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle. The collision occurred at around 8:15 p.m., north of Otay Lakes Road and east of State Route 125.

The driver involved was traveling in the same direction when for an unknown reason they lost control of their car, jumped the sidewalk and hit the teen.
CHP affirmed that Magno was immediately transported to Mercy Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a large white Chevy Silverado pickup truck with black rims.
