LEIMERT PARK (July 29, 2016)- According to a California Highway Patrol report, a 2-car crash took place Friday morning at the intersection of Vernon and Arlington avenues.
The collision involved two sedans and occurred just after 3:00 a.m.
The crash left one motorist trapped inside requiring the assistance of firefighter personnel to extricate the victim out of the vehicle via the Jaws of Life.
Several other motorists were injured and hospitalized where their conditions remains unknown at this time.
A dog inside of the vehicle died in the collision.
Los Angeles police officials have not specified the cause of the crash at neither speed or alcohol can be confirmed at this time.
