Collision on SR-125 North at Troy Street Involving Red Kia SUV and White Hyundai Sonata

LEMON GROVE, Calif., (October 12, 2026) — A traffic collision involving a red Kia SUV and a white Hyundai Sonata occurred in Lemon Grove on State Route 125 North at Troy Street, resulting in major front-end damage to the Hyundai.

The California Highway Patrol reported the collision on Oct. 9th at approximately 7:09 p.m. and involved both vehicles coming to rest on the right-hand side of the highway. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, with the first police unit arriving at 7:19 p.m. and additional units following shortly thereafter.

The collision prompted a rotation request for USA Tow, which was contacted at 7:21 p.m. to assist with vehicle removal. The white Hyundai Sonata suffered significant front-end damage, according to the logs.

As of now, there have been no reports of serious injuries, although the details are still emerging. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and are asking for any witnesses to come forward with information that might assist in determining the cause of the collision.
