Man, 80, Hit by Ambulance on State Route 94
LEMON GROVE, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2022) — An ambulance struck an 80-year-old man early Tuesday on state Route 94 in Lemon Grove in San Diego County.
The collision occurred about 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was apparently walking in the freeway lanes prior to being struck down by an ambulance near Waite Drive.
Paramedics from the American Medical Response ambulance crew provide aid to the man, but a second ambulance transported him to a hospital, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. He suffered moderate to major injuries in the collision.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Lemon Grove accident.
