2 Injured in Lemon Grove Crash at Broadway and Massachusetts
LEMON GROVE, CA (February 4, 2023) – Two were injured after a crash at Broadway Lane and Massachusetts Avenue in Lemon Grove.
According to a report posted by the 911 Video News, the accident took place last week on Friday morning. Officers responded to the wreck on January 27 at about 6:06 a.m.
The incident happened when a red pickup truck was going west on Broadway Lane, approaching Massachusetts Avenue, in Lemon Grove.
At the same time, a dark-colored sedan was traveling north on Massachusetts. Deputies said one of the vehicles ran the red light at the intersection.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
In the process, the truck t-boned the car. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two people who ended up hurt.
The female passenger of the sedan sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. The male driver of the truck survived the incident with unknown injuries.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to the hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Broadway and Massachusetts to shut down following the Lemon Grove crash. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
