2 Injured in Lemon Grove DUI Crash on State Route 94 and Massachusetts Avenue
LEMON GROVE, CA (October 2, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a DUI crash on the State Route 94 and Massachusetts Avenue transition in Lemon Grove.
According to a report published by the On Scene TV, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:06 a.m.
The incident began when a blue car was exiting the eastbound State Route 94 at Massachusetts Avenue in Lemon Grove. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time.
Its male driver failed to make the turn and went into the vegetation between the off-ramp and the on-ramp to eastbound Route 94 from Massachusetts.
Speeding DUI Driver Hits Another Car
Officials said as the car approached the on-ramp, it ended up launched into the air and slammed into another vehicle. The blue car rolled onto its rood while the other vehicle obtained severe damage.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the speeding motorist and the female driver of the victim car hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took both patients to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. They did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers believed that the male suspect was under the influence when he struck the other vehicle. The Lemon Grove crash is still under investigation.
Authorities forced the Massachusetts on-ramp to eastbound Route 94 to shut down for about an hour following the wreck.
