Woman Trapped in Car After Collision on Highway 94 Tuesday
Lemon Grove, CA (October 5, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route Highway 94 Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated two vehicles collided in the eastbound side of SR-94 near the transition road to State Route Highway 125. Authorities said the accident involved a dark gray Volkswagen Jetta. Meanwhile, the description of the other car involved in the wreck remained unknown.
The CHP logged the incident around 9:25 p.m.
When emergency teams arrived at the site, the found the Volkswagen Jetta overturned on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. Officials said a female party was left trapped in the disabled car.
Firefighters responded to the location and worked extensively to extricate the victim. After freeing the woman, paramedics checked her condition and later confirmed she sustained injuries as a result of the accident.

Meanwhile, the CHP report mentioned the second vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene before police arrived. Investigators continue to work at this time to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspect in the Lemon Grove car crash.
