Driver Seriously Hurt in Lemon Grove Hit-and-run Crash
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 8, 2021) — A Lemon Grove hit-and-run crash early Thursday on state Route 94 in Lemon Grove left a driver seriously injured, according to the Times of San Diego.
Also, the collision happened about 2 a.m. on the westbound side of SR-94 near Lemon Grove Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver struck the victim’s Mercedes-Benz sedan, causing it to veer off the freeway. The car went up an embankment where it crashed into a according to 10News.
Additionally, the driver in the Mercedes was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries. Also, paramedics rushed the injured motorist to a hospital for treatment. The name of the injured driver is unknown at this time.
Authorities have not released a detailed description of the hit-and-run vehicle or its driver. Investigators continue to piece together evidence and seek to locate the suspect.
