Bicycle Rider Injured in Lemon Hills Crash on Franklin Boulevard
LEMON HILLS, CA (January 21, 2022) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash on Franklin Boulevard in Lemon Hills.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 3:12 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a man riding a bicycle in the Lemon Hills area. The driver hit him at 6351 Franklin Boulevard near the intersection with 47th Avenue.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near a gas station. They found the bicyclist who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the cyclist. Officers forced a stretch of Franklin Boulevard to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Lemon Hills bicycle crash is still under investigation.
