Victim’s Vehicle Catches Fire
FRESNO, California (July 16, 2016) – A 58-year-old man from Lemoore suffered fatal injuries as a result of a head-on collision on Highway 180 near Rio Vista, according to an article by ABC 30.
The accident occurred on July 16, Saturday.
In detail, a similar article published by Fresnobee mentioned a 2002 Ford F-350 pickup truck traveling eastbound crossed over the yellow line and veered off into the opposite lane. First, the pickup clipped the mirror of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup travelling the opposite direction. Then, the Ford continued traveling on the wrong-way until it collided head-on against a 2001 Toyota Camry.
The force from the crash resulted in the driver from the Toyota killed. The victim’s vehicle even caught fire after the impact. Further, responding authorities were able to extinguish fire and extricate the driver. Unfortunately, he did not survive the wreck and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford driver was hospitalized for unspecified injuries.
