Suspect Ran Against Red Light
COVINA, California (July 30, 2016) – 33-year-old Leslie Mendiola has been killed as a result of a collision at Lark Ellen Avenue and Cypress Street, according to an article by SGV Tribune.
The accident occurred on July 30, Saturday at around 6:00 a.m.
In detail, the article mentioned Mendiola was driving a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck on the south of Lark Ellen. Then suddenly, she was hit by a 2002 Ford Expedition coming from the westbound Cypress.
The force from the impact resulted in Mendiola suffering in fatal trauma. Responding paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The Ford driver was later identified as 27-year-old Covina woman. Further, authorities affirmed that the Ford driver failed to stop at the circular red light; resulting in the front-end of the Ford colliding with the left side of the Ford F-150.
