Major Injury Traffic Collision on Highway 299 Saturday
Lewiston, CA (June 19, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a car accident that occurred on State Route 299 Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a single-vehicle rolled over on the westbound lanes of Highway 299 in Lewiston. The collision happened near Trinity River at about 5:30 a.m.

Primary reports indicated responding emergency crews found at least one person trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victims from the disabled car. After the man was free, paramedics checked their condition and determined they sustained major injuries from the crash.
An ambulance later arrived at the scene and possibly transported the patient to the hospital for treatment.
Several factors surrounding the car accident in Lewiston remained. Further investigation on the case is underway.
