Teen Killed in Crash on State Route 243 in Idyllwild
IDYLLWILD, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2018) — Lilah Grace Whitney, 15, 0f Mountain Center, was killed Sunday in a vehicle crash in Idyllwild, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 4:45 p.m. on the Banning-Idyllwild Panoramic Highway at Saunders Meadow Road. The collision was located at mile Marker 3, the CHP said. The report does not state who was driving, nor how many were in the vehicle.
The crash remained under investigation by the CHP.

FATAL CRASH INVESTIGATION
Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault. The investigation will consist of looking at measurements, going over evidence left by the vehicle such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
