Lin Tae Kim, 66, Killed in Riverside Hit-and-Run Crash on Jackson Street
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 14, 2021) – Lin Tae Kim was killed after a hit-and-run crash along Jackson Street in Riverside last week.
Police identified the 66-year-old Riverside man as the victim of the fatal accident which occurred on Thursday morning, January 7.
The incident happened when Lin Tae Kim was riding a bicycle southbound on Jackson Street in the bike lane, just south of Colorado Avenue.
Bicyclist Hit by Car in Riverside Near Colorado Avenue
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the bicyclist left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took him to Parkview Community Hospital, where he later died. Officers reported the tragic crash at about 6:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver slowed down after hitting the rider. However, the motorist soon fled the area and failed to render aid to the cyclist.
Officials described the suspect car as a 2002 to 2008 Mini Cooper. The Mini Cooper is missing its driver’s side window and mirror, along with several pieces of side trim
