Bicyclist Injured in Crash on Joiner Parkway in Lincoln, California
LINCOLN, Calif. (February 26, 2020) – A bicyclist was injured in a car accident Monday evening on Joiner Parkway in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Police Department reported the crash took place about 5:25 p.m. on February 24th.
The driver of a Cadillac SUV struck the bicyclist who was thrown onto the roof of the car.
Police say the driver kept traveling nearly quarter a mile, despite having the rider on top of the roof. It wasn’t until another motorist notified the Cadillac’s driver that the bicyclist was on the roof of their car that they stopped.
Once the 85-year-old man driving the Cadillac stopped, he cooperated with the police investigation.
Meanwhile, the rider was transported to a hospital to be treated for multiple serious injuries including a concussion and broken bones.
The Lincoln Police Department is heading up the investigation.
