Motorcyclist Killed in Lincoln Crash at First Street and Hollingsworth Drive
LINCOLN, CA (April 10, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist at First Street and Hollingsworth Drive in Lincoln.
According to an article published by the Gold Country Media, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck on April 9 at about 8:45 a.m.
The incident happened when the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was going east on First Street from O Street, approaching Hollingsworth Drive, in Lincoln.
At the same time, a Toyota truck was traveling west from L Street. Police said the Toyota then made a left turn onto Hollingsworth Drive.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The motorcyclist tried to avoid a collision but hit the right side of the truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. The occupants of the Toyota ended up unharmed following the wreck.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of First Street and Hollingsworth Drive to shut down for several hours after the incident. The cause of the fatal Lincoln crash is still under investigation.
