Rider Hospitalized After Collision on Euclid Avenue
Lincoln Park, CA (April 30, 2023) – A 31-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Euclid Avenue Saturday evening, April 29.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Crash in Lincoln Park
The FOX5 and ABC10 News reported an adult male riding a 2009 Harley Davison collided with a black 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck. Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist was heading south on Euclid Avenue. On the opposite side of the street, the Dodge attempted to make a left-hand turn in the middle of the road. Officials said the pickup truck ended up driving into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
According to the article published online, the rider was not able to avoid and crashed into the right-side panels of the Dodge. The force from the impact resulted in serious injuries to the motorcyclist. Medical personnel arrived at the scene shortly after 8:20 p.m. and immediately rendered aid to the victim. An ambulance transported the injured rider to a local hospital for treatment of a collapsed lung, a left thigh bone fracture, and a pelvic fracture.
Several factors surrounding the collision remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the traffic accident that happened near the 200 block of Euclid Avenue in Lincoln Park.
